Our prints are created on industrial HP photo printers, using archival ink and materials. Cost is dependent on size and substrate material, with individual pricing found on each image page. We offer 3 high quality paper types:
Moab Entrada Rag Natural 290/300– HIGHLY recommended, a very heavy watercolor type paper that intensifies fine detail within the surface texture, creating a superior fine art rendition at a slight additional cost. Useful for mounting in a conventional frame or directly on Gatorboard or aluminum.
Epson Premium Luster 260– A high quality, heavy satin finish photo paper. Useful for mounting in a conventional frame or directly on Gatorboard or aluminum.
Moab Slickrock Metallic Pearl 260– Used exclusively for the Mars prints, this paper renders greyscale tonalities with a cool silver metallic cast, creating a beautiful rendition of tone and detail. Useful for mounting in a conventional frame or directly on Gatorboard or aluminum.
While only providing the print itself, we look to our customers to find the mounting that they prefer. Size is the governing factor; for our smaller prints up to 36″, conventional framing may be the best option. All of our prints have a 1.5″ to 2″ white border that will then fit into traditional frame sizes allowing a matte if desired. For very large gigapixel print sizes up to 80-120″ lengths, a frame with glazing is prohibitive, so dry mounting directly onto aluminum or economical rigid Gatorboard is recommended. Above 72″ lengths, we omit the white border for the large sizes offered in our gigapixel panoramics. While we only provide the print, we can recommend a quality mounting service we work with for displaying these unique, highly detailed images in either exclusive residential, commercial, or museum settings. The following examples show an large unglazed gigapixel print, and samples of the four conventional print sizes we offer, showing the 1.5″ to 2″ border within that dimension, allowing use of the print to be set in directly or with an optional matte on a user-provided frame.
